Nestled between two parks and on the doorstep of Church Street, this elegant four-bedroom home in Stoke Newington has audacious style that leaves a lasting impression.

Yoakley Road, Stoke Newington, 4 Bed. House

We always strive to provide accurate information, but please be aware that our photographs, floor plans, and descriptions are intended as a guide only. We encourage all potential buyers to conduct a personal inspection to ensure that the size and space meet their needs. Additionally, please note that while we make every effort to provide precise measurements, total floor plan measurements may be rounded for ease, and distances are estimated.

Some houses make their mark, and this strikingly handsome home that dates from the late 1800s is one of them. It could be the timeless style of the dark wood parquet flooring echoed in the wood panelling. Maybe it's the rich, deep colour palette or the impressive walnut kitchen offset by the dramatic-black marble worktop. Or perhaps it's the feeling of opulence in the magnificent bathroom of dreams, complete with brushed brass fixtures.

It's not just the bold touches that we love. The house has been meticulously considered to create versatile spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional. The kitchen feels like it has been designed by people who know that it's always where the party is. Crittal-style steel doors cohesively tie inside and out, framing the landscaped garden as another enticing living space. And who doesn't love in-built units, found in the bedroom and living space, for decluttered living?

Yoakley Road is found moments from Church Street, the epicentre of Stoke Newington, brimming with independent stores. The array of cafés, pubs and restaurants, as well as the village vibe and strong community, make it an ideal place to put down roots. Plus, you can take your pick of parks or easily change your scenery with the Overground station, a short jaunt down the road.

Our happy place is the kitchen; the skylights create such a bright and warm room. Nothing is better than having the back doors open and sitting on the back deck in the garden in the sun.

Having Church Street a stone's throw away has never been taken for granted. In our opinion, getting food from any of the cafes and walking to Clissold Park is the best way to spend the weekend.

1 The Clarence Tavern

This steller pub was recently highlighted as one of the best roasts in the country by The Observer magazine. Excellent food and wine, right next to Clissold Park.

2 The Good Egg

Delicious bagels and babkas. Need we say more!

3 Nook

Beautiful interiors and lifestyle store on Church Street, stocking some of our favourite homeware brands. One of our go-to's!

4 The Spence Bakery

This place is bread heaven! All baked on the premises, the vibe is stripped back simplicity – it’s a great pitstop for coffee and cake while you pick up your morning loaf. Arrive early though to avoid disappointment; they do tend to sell out of the favourites (the seeded rye is ours) by the afternoon.

5 Escocesa

With an exciting mix of Spanish mains and fresh Scottish seafood in chic industrial setting, this is our favourite spot for taking friends and family for a special night out without leaving the area. As you enter, stools around a bar look over the open kitchen with chefs preparing oysters and scallops. At the back, a relaxed but stylish restaurant serves wonderfully modern Spanish dishes. Encantamous!
