THE OWNER SAYS

The flat has been a wonderful first-family home. We particularly love our sunny garden and the light-filled living room. The cellar is brilliant for storage, meaning our flat is always tidy, even with a toddler!

People say you don't know your neighbours in London, but we count ours as friends. It's in a great spot, too - between Brockley and Nunhead with all the lovely independent shops, bars and restaurants. Peckham and New Cross as walkable options too. It also has excellent transport links with Overground trains to Victoria, London Bridge and City Thameslink.

The area is very leafy - with Telegraph Hill, Nunhead Cemetery, Hilly Fields and Peckham Rye all in close proximity. We are sad to be leaving but look forward to new owners being happy to call it their home.

BRICKWORKS SAYS

An absolute charmer, this ground-level apartment will win you over with its pleasing aesthetic and homely feel. Features such as original Victorian doors add to the appeal, enhanced by heritage colours throughout. Bay windows at the front and back give a grand impression and bathe the living room in light, which spills into the south-facing garden. Outside you'll find a green, secluded space, a veritable trap for sunshine which retains some privacy by nature of not being overlooked.

The bedrooms are sensitively decorated, the principal making the fireplace a standout feature. In the heart of the home is the kitchen, packing a lot of culinary potential into a petit size. The bathroom, in understated tones, enjoys natural light, which, as any Londoner knows, is at a premium. One thing you won't need to worry about is storage. With an entire basement at your disposal, as well as a shed for keeping outdoors trim, your living space can remain clutter-free.

Brockley is a little gem. With a thriving scene and diverse community, a plethora of options for tasty grub, as well as being well-connected, it's no wonder it's become such a destination. And with the distinctly different neighbourhoods of Nunhead and Peckham a short distance away, you'll never bore of this vibrant enclave of South London.
