BRICKWORKS SAYS
This captivating home is moments from the thrills and spills of Seven Sisters, yet it feels far removed from the masses. Serenity reigns with a living room that has the appeal of a Victorian drawing room, where the (eco-friendly gas) fire blazes, and you can cosy up with a book from one of the handy shelves that line the wall. The kitchen, in contrast, feels fresh and modern and fizzes with mint green units. It is also bathed in light thanks to the south-facing aspect.
Down the corridor, the bedroom, which faces the same southerly direction, becomes filled with ambient light when the sun is low and overlooks the leafy oasis of the garden. Outside, greenery is everywhere, even in the depths of winter, a hint of the delights of summer months. Honeysuckle and climbing roses snake up the walls of the studio, bursting with scent on warmer days and helping it blend with its surroundings. Inside, the studio has ample space to be an inviting hideaway––to work or relax.
Pembroke Road is exceptionally calm thanks to having almost no traffic. Yet, just down the road are the joys of Seven Sisters, a neighbourhood that continues its unstoppable upward journey. Flavours from across the globe, old-school boozers, pizza joints, coffee shops and community cafes––it's all there! And it's not short on green spaces either, with the wilds of Walthamstow Wetlands and River Lea with its rambling pathways on your doorstep.
THE OWNERS SAY
I have lived here very happily for nearly two decades. One of the things I love most is the south-facing garden, which has given me so much pleasure. In the summer, it becomes a huge extra room; I eat nearly all my meals out there, and it's great for entertaining. Because it's south-facing, plants, flowers, and even small olive trees have happily lived there as long as I have.
The proximity to public transport links is hard to beat, with Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale nearby. Despite being close to the stations and high road, it is an incredibly quiet street with almost no passing traffic. The garden, especially, is pin-drop quiet.

landmarks
1 True Craft
In this crazily-good pizza joint on the West Green Road, local craft beers (like Beavertown) sit happily next to quality imports (think Weizen-style Bavarian), giving you all kinds of problems when it comes to ordering. One of the most favourite spots in South Tottenham, and rightly so, you can also 'takeaway' if you fancy.
2 Pasero
Newly opened café and restaurant with good coffee, wine and happy hour-negronis.
3 Markfield Park
Being recognized as one of the best parks in the country, the award winning Markfield Park is a gorgeously leafy riverside green space nestled beside the towpath of the River Lea. Peppered with houseboats along the Lea and a plethora of wildlife, the park is also home to the historic Beam Engine Museum and the family friendly Markfield Park Cafe serving healthy snacks and homemade cakes.
4 Bernie Grant Arts Centre
The eponymous Bernie Grant Arts Centre, founded by the Tottenham Labour MP during the 90s, was designed by David Adjaye and was built to showcase the best of independent and international arts with a focus on culturally diverse practice. There is a fantastic arthouse cinema, dance and theatre auditorium and cafe/bar/shop. All well worth a visit in our opinion.
5 Café Lemon
A little ray of sunshine, this chilled-out café caters for every taste with an eclectic menu. Run by a friendly bunch, it has a dedicated following of locals, as the polaroids of regulars can attest!
