THE LEGAL BIT
While we strive to create true-to-life photographs, floor plans and descriptions, our marketing material is only a guide. Purchasers should always visit in person, ask relevant questions and triple-check details. Brickworks takes our duty of care incredibly seriously and takes all reasonable steps to ensure all presented information is correct. However, we sometimes rely on the accuracy of the information provided to us by the seller and others. Also, please note that we often round up/down total floor plan measurements and/or use approximate distances.
BRICKWORKS SAYS
Set on the lower ground floor of a small, modern building, this one-bedroom flat has a stylish, streamlined vibe that makes clutter-free living a breeze. Its recent renovation, in collaboration with SS4 Architects, has instilled the space with calm and clarity, creating a restful environment throughout. This has been achieved through the considered use of colour and materials, including bespoke plywood joinery - creating sleek, satisfying storage right where it's needed most.
The split-level garden terrace is in happy contrast to this home's minimalist aesthetic. Overlooked by both the open-plan living room/kitchen and the bedroom, it offers a private space to nurture through nature—a boon for flat-owners in London. It's the perfect spot for an outdoor breakfast without being overlooked or to gather with friends over long summer evenings.
This peaceful home is just a stone's throw from Islington's Upper Street, one of London's finest parades of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. With cinemas, theatres, art galleries, antique markets and more all peppering this lively neighbourhood, you don't have to wander far for a tip-top culture fix.
THE OWNERS SAY
The flat is small, quiet and calming. Trees frame the upstairs terrace, making it feel like living on the edge of a wood. Birds sing, the leaves rustle; it's a wildlife haven in the middle of Islington. A diffused light fills it in winter, and the morning sun illuminates the living room in summer.
In order to bring nature into the flat, large sliding doors were fitted in the living room that look out onto the secluded courtyard. During the summer, I often work outside at the table. In the bedroom, a window seat looks out onto the same courtyard through an expansive window, which opens out for dreamy evenings.

1 Handle Street Projects
Open since 2006, the gallery shows new British and international contemporary artists – in the front room of a classic Georgian terrace town house. There’s no sign on the door, you simply ring the bell, get welcomed in and left to browse. Potentially quite awkward, or incredibly liberating depending on what kind of day you’re having. It’s certainly intimate. The art itself is constantly changing, varied and exciting.
2 Akari
Set in an old public house, it can initially seem like an incongruous mix, but once you set foot inside and then taste the sushi, it makes sense! Great spot and consistently fabulous food.
3 Trullo
With a commitment to simple, seasonally focused, Italian-inspired dishes, this restaurant near Highbury Corner is a joy. No fuss; just expertly cooked food in a relaxed environment.
4 Vagabond N7
Ok, so we are a little bit biased, but we genuinely believe Vagabond serve up some the best coffee in London. Plus their cafe on the Holloway Road is just a great spot to catch your breath and grab a bite to eat, or just relax and people watch. The staff are super-friendly too.
5 Highbury Fields
This iconic park is the largest in Islington. Almost every conceivable activity is catered for during the course of the year, but it is an equally great spot just to relax and enjoy a lazy summer barbeque with friends.
