BRICKWORKS SAYS

This elegant Victorian house has been lovingly improved by its current owners and is packed with character and charm. Its standout features include a sun-drenched window bench in the kitchen where you can enjoy your morning coffee, pretty coving in the lofty living room, and two original transom windows above the bathroom and kitchen doors that flood extra light into the flat.

An inviting blue door and original porch tiles welcome you inside, where you’re greeted with beautiful sanded floorboards and gentle colours that show off the Victorian bones of the property. Complete with wood-burning stove, plantation-style shutters and timber sash windows, the living room is a complete joy to spend time in. Continuing down the hall, the handy space under the stairs offers the ideal spot for a desk, while the serene bedroom opposite has views of the garden and a shaker-style built-in wardrobe.

The kitchen is at the back of the property with a side door into the garden and plenty of storage space. Outside you’ll find a gorgeous garden with plenty of space for eating and relaxing, as well as a large shed. Mature shrubs and trees are dotted around the perimeter adding greenery and privacy.

If you’re looking for the perfect position in South Tottenham, then Keston Road has it all. Surrounded by leafy Downhills Park to the west, Lordship Rec to the north and Philip Lane with its many eateries to the south, you’re never far from something to do; plus you’re so close to the Victoria Line. THE OWNERS SAY

The flat has been our oasis since we moved in. We've invested a lot of love and energy into making the garden a tranquil retreat; the perfect place to relax after a day working from home, or to host friends and family for a summer al fresco dinner. The garden becomes an extension of the flat during the warmer months, and both the fig and bay trees have kept our culinary adventures interesting - and local.

Inside we love the privacy, with no properties overlooking us. The creative storage keeps the space in order, and the log-burning stove is a treat to curl up in front of during the darker months.

Outside we’ve been spoilt for choice with the beautiful and award-winning Downhills Park, a brilliant neighbourhood community (expect to exchange lots of garden and foraged produce here) and all the brilliant shops and local cafés. We’re looking to upsize as we look to start a family - if we could take the flat with us, we would!
