We have loved living in Harringay Road. Renovating our first home and starting our family here has been a special experience, and we will miss it dearly.

As a family, we have spent much of our time with friends in the open kitchen dining space and spilling into the garden. It's a perfect spot for entertaining.

Over the years, we've met so many lovely local people raising our girls here and have been lucky to have great neighbours. The area has a strong sense of community and is brilliant for families with loads of green space nearby. Downhills and Finsbury Parks are our favourites, and we have spent many happy Sundays socialising there.

There is always plenty to do at the weekends without needing to travel far. We love having the ever-changing vibrant Green Lanes on our doorstep, which offers a great mix of traditional Turkish food, coffee and morning buns from The Dusty Knuckle and Harringay Local Store for some weekend treats. The Salisbury is a firm favourite for family get-togethers or late-night drinks, and Jam in a Jar is equally versatile with delicious food, cocktails and live music in the evenings.

Recent work:

The downstairs hallway wall has been removed, and the kitchen/reception room has been knocked through to create a large living space with a new kitchen and upstairs bathroom.

Getting around:

There are plenty of nearby stations, including Turnpike Lane and Harringay Green Lanes, both half a mile away, and Hornsey, only slightly further at 0.8 miles from the property. Haringey has a slowly improving network of cycle routes across the borough, and Harringay Road benefits from traffic calming measures, including a no-entry restriction at one end of the street.

Anything else:

Crouch End is only 30 min away on foot. So too, Ally Pally for the farmers market and music events. Even Hampstead Heath via Gospel Oak is only a few stops on the overground from Harringay Green Lanes.
