THE LEGAL BIT

While we strive to create true-to-life photographs, floor plans and descriptions, our marketing material is only a guide. Purchasers should always visit in person, ask relevant questions and triple-check details. Brickworks takes our duty of care incredibly seriously and takes all reasonable steps to ensure all presented information is correct. However, we sometimes rely on the accuracy of the information provided to us by the seller and others. Also, please note that we often round up/down total floor plan measurements and/or use approximate distances.

BRICKWORKS SAYS

The Edwardians understood scale, and this home is a fine example of that –– the broad bay windows and the wide hallways bring light and create space as you move around the three floors of this five-bedroom house. Although firmly rooted in a time gone by, this is very much a modern home. The sash windows, restored with double glazing, and the fresh carpet and added insulation underfoot downstairs have cosy-proofed the house. Renovations by the current owners are utterly respectful of Edwardian elegance. In fact, the updated decor, in artfully selected colours, really let the original fireplaces and restored stained-glass sing.

Recent additions, such as the kitchen and bathroom, have been seamlessly integrated to allow people to enjoy contemporary living without sacrificing character. In the bathroom, you can choose to luxuriate in the roll-top bath or opt for the rainfall shower. The generous-sized bedrooms have all been uniquely decorated; upstairs in the loft, the green echoes the views of the gardens beyond. Outside, the south-facing plot, backing onto an allotment, optimises peace, quiet and greenery.

Greenham Road is big on community, as evidenced by the street parties and the hoards that flock here for Halloween. But it also enjoys proximity to Muswell Hill, a neighbourhood known for its independent shops, delightful cafés, classic London boozers, and, of course, Ally Pally. Take in the fantastic views on high, go to a gig or pick up your weekly shop at the farmers market.

THE OWNERS SAY

Greenham Road has been a home filled with warmth and happy memories for us. The high ceilings and beautifully proportioned rooms create a bright and airy feel, perfect for quiet family time and hosting friends. We adore our garden, especially in spring when the magnolia tree is in full bloom—it’s been our sanctuary.

The street has a wonderful, friendly community vibe, and we’re just a short walk from Muswell Hill’s cafés and shops, with easy access to all the best bits of London. Being so close to Alexandra Park, Highgate Woods, and Coldfall Wood has made it feel like we have the best of both worlds—city life and green spaces.

1 Chriskitch Muswell Hill

For anyone that doubts salad can be a proper fulfilling meal, we challenge you to visit the wonderful Christkitch. The vibe is informal (pooch and kid-friendly), and the menu is outstanding. Salads are their speciality with unexpected yet delightful combinations, although it’s worth leaving room for their cakes, too.

2 La Lluna

Unbeatable tapas and cocktails to be had at this fab, buzzy Spanish restaurant, right on the Broadway. Our personal favs have to be the stuffed courgette flowers and the crispy chipirones, plus they also have some delicious, charcuterie and regional cheeses. Well worth a visit.

3 Cosi Homewares

Everyone has their favourite homewares store, and this is one of our favs – certainly in Muswell Hill. Behind the gorgeous curved window, Cosi has a fab selection of things for the home to peruse and inspire.

4 The Clissold Arms

This locally owned Gastro Pub makes a reasonably big deal of the fact that the Kinks played their first gear here, and why wouldn't you? It's a top pop fact and a solid claim to fame. The food is solid too, and the welcome is warm. The inside dining room can cater for large groups, and the outside area is packed in the summer months.

5 Cheeses of Muswell Hill

Cheeses of Muswell Hill does exactly what it says and does it incredibly well. With knowledgeable and passionate staff, a wide selection if fromagerie to choose from and a plethora of cheese-related stuff, it's a heaven for cheese lovers and general foodies alike.
