Dorset Road, South Tottenham, 3 Bed. House
Serene, stylish, and seamless, this is a house where space is used purposefully and with panache. On arrival, preserved Victorian features, including the parapet cornice and stone pilasters, welcome you. Segmented areas mean you can retreat to the intimacy of the front room, secluded by plantation blinds, or turn into the sociable rooms towards the rear. The harmonious flow between the heart-of-the-home, sage green kitchen and the garden –– complete with a beautiful apple tree –– makes for versatile living at its best. Upstairs the inviting main bedroom has the luxury of an en-suite shower room, but you’ll also find an adjacent contemporary family-sized bathroom. Two further well-proportioned bedrooms continue the cohesive, neutral palette. Offering the heritage of a conservation area, Dorset Road not only enjoys architectural merit but a burgeoning and tight-knit community. A melting pot of cuisines and cultural spots can be found a short jaunt away in Seven Sisters, and with much loved Chestnuts Park around the corner, it’s fertile ground for putting down roots.
THE OWNER SAYS
We’ve loved living here for the last 8 years. Our favourite thing about the house is the light. It faces east-west, so the front rooms are bright in the morning, and the kitchen-diner is flooded with sun in the afternoon. In summer, we use the kitchen-diner and garden as one large space for BBQs, for the kids to play or for dinner in the shade of the apple tree. It is an incredibly flexible house. We lived here with friends originally, then as a couple, and now with our children. We have felt really lucky to find this close, friendly community. We love being near to green spaces of Downhills Park and Lordship Rec in one direction and to the Victoria Line in the other.
