Jam-packed with character, this two-bedroom cottage blends unique 1920s craftsmanship with contemporary living, making for a serene sanctuary nestled between Wood Green and Tottenham’s borders.

Courtman Road, Tottenham, 2 Bed. House

We absolutely love this home. We have great parks on the doorstep, and there is always something going on locally on the weekends. We have easy access to both Tottenham and Wood Green as both are within a 15-minute walk. We can get to Ally Pally and Crouch End quickly by bus or pop out for drinks or great food at the pubs and restaurants nearby.

We have put a lot of love and thought into making our home a joyful space to be in any time of the year. There is nothing nicer than closing the front door and relaxing – often cooking and hanging out as a family in the kitchen or reading in our lovely peaceful garden. It really is like a little slice of the country here in Tottenham in the summer. We love early mornings when the light streams into the kitchen from the skylights, and we throw the patio doors open and sit in the garden with breakfast. We will greatly miss living here!

Recent work:

The current owners added a ground floor extension in 2016, including a new kitchen with integrated appliances. The bathroom was replaced in 2022, and they added a new fascia and soffits to the roof around the same time. They installed a new boiler in 2019 and designed and landscaped the back garden with well-established mature shrubs and trees.

Tucked away at the end of a row of workman’s cottages on a peaceful road in Tottenham, this fabulous two-bedroom home is beautifully finished. Dotted with pretty and thoughtful detailing, the owners have renovated it top-to-toe, the star of the show being a gorgeous new kitchen/diner extension leading onto a private leafy haven. You’ll feel a million miles away from the city bustle.

The modern kitchen provides ample space for family life and entertaining with sleek countertops, a breakfast island, and integrated appliances. Reminiscent of country cottage living, the blend of old meets new has clearly been the owners’ focus, and it has been carried out with aplomb.

On the edges of Tottenham and Wood Green, Courtman Road is a stroll away from Downhills Park with its ornamental gardens and family-friendly amenities. A cluster of excellent Turkish restaurants, buzzy cafes and independent shops can be found further afield along Green Lanes, just over a mile away. Winged by Wood Green and White Hart Lane stations on either side, meaning over and under-ground connections are within easy reach, providing direct links to central London.
