I have lived in this flat for nearly 40 years and have loved every minute. The beautiful design is by award-winning Edward Cullinan Architects, who created this amazing and generous space for me in 1980, with a revamp in 1997. This light-filled flat also has superb views to the City and London Eye at the front and Highgate/Hampstead at the back. Being high up means there are no security or overlooking issues and traffic noise is not a problem.
This friendly area attracts residents who rarely move which is not surprising given the proximity to good schools and shops, and of course the superb transport links, with tube, buses and London Overground on the doorstep. You can enjoy a swim in the Lido on the Heath at the end of the road or in one of the Hampstead ponds. Other delights include excellent pubs and restaurants, local street fairs and numerous community events.
In this house with its three flats, we all know each other well and co-operate together on any communal maintenance or other issues which need attention. The new owner of my flat will be made very welcome.
