We love what the current owners have done in recent times, from installing the crisp white concrete flooring downstairs to the addition of new, carefully-positioned windows and skylights. Light bounces from everywhere.

The downstairs especially, is genuinely impressive, with its beautiful, pared-down aesthetic. This backdrop dramatically contrasts with the period exterior but also helps accentuate the design elements the owners have introduced, including – our favourite – the pastel pink staircase that leads to the two bedrooms above.

There is no hiding place with such a bold and minimal design, but the attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship make it a triumph; it's an exemplary home for the 21st century.

Part of the borough of Haringey, the house falls into Council Tax Band C (£1,400.72 for 2018/2019).

The current owners have not skimped on the refurb; the update included rewiring, plumbing, a new boiler, a DEFRA-approved multi-fuel stove, new chimney lining and pot, new windows, roof maintenance and high-quality kitchen appliances.

A quick mention to the loft/attic, which is great for storage. The space allows you to keep the rest of the house minimal and free from clutter.

For the little ones, this area has a reputation for good nursery and primary schools, and those nearby include Woodlands Park Nursery, Chestnuts Primary and St Ann’s CE Primary. Due to changing intake, we can’t confirm whether you will be in catchment on any given year.

Although public transport links are excellent, if you’re a cyclist, you’re in luck. The Cycle Superhighway (CS1) begins at Tottenham High Road and ends at Liverpool Street providing a fast, safe and direct journey to the city.

THE OWNERS SAY

Our favourite thing about the property is the light in the south-facing kitchen and bathroom, which flows throughout the house. The garden (also south-facing) feels very private and is surrounded by greenery – our little oasis.

Our overall favourite thing about living here is how quiet it is; the road is rarely used except by the people who live here, and we’re surrounded by lovely neighbours.

There is a range of fantastic places for eating and drinking close by, including The Salisbury pub, The High Cross, and Five Miles. It’s an exciting time for Tottenham with new places opening all the time.
